“ We, at Seminario Mayor de San Carlos, are a community of disciples of Jesus Christ, aiming to follow in His footsteps in proclaiming the reign of God and in serving His people. We are composed of bishop, priests, Seminarians, religious and lay people.

           Our particular mission is to assist in the formation of lay candidates for the Roman Catholic priesthood and of lay leaders, specifically in the central and southern dioceses of the Church in the Philippines.

 
           We envision a priest as a disciple called to be a servant-leader of the Church community who, in communion with the bishops and in partnership with the religious and lay faithful, facilitates the radical transformation of our people into a dynamic Christian community of faith.

           To attain this mission, we opt to live as a basic ecclesial community continually discerning God’s will in the experience of His people and in mutual collaboration with other members of church and society.”
